The Integrative Imagery for Coaches course is instructional, interactive, and experiential. The first five classes cover the fundamental principles of the Integrative Imagery modality and teach five distinct techniques that can be applied immediately in both professional and personal settings. Each two-hour live session consists of one hour of didactic and one hour of demonstration of a specific imagery technique. The remaining three classes are practicums where students will practice a chosen technique, followed by discussion and mentor feedback.
This course is specifically designed for coaches and healthcare professionals who want use this powerful modality to their coaching and/or healing practice. Participants will also have a dyad partner to practice the learned technique in-between class time.
This live course is taught by Susan Ezra, RN, NC-BC, NBC-HWC, ACC, who has dedicated her career to assisting people in accessing their own healing abilities. She completed her formal imagery training with the Academy for Guided Imagery and was on the faculty for several years until she and Terry Reed, RN, PhD, co-founded and directed Beyond Ordinary Nursing and developed a Certificate Program in Integrative Imagery for healthcare professionals. From 1996 to 2009, she and Terry trained hundreds of healthcare practitioners in the clinical applications of therapeutic guided imagery. They also co-authored Guided Imagery and Beyond; Stories of Healing and Transformation, an anthology of stories from their students and clients illustrating the transformative power of this medium.
This course is approved for 14 CE credits by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) is approved for 17 CCE credits by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Disclaimer: This Integrative Imagery for Coaches course, provided by the Center for Health and Wellness Coaches, is an 8-week formal training program to learn and practice evidence-based integrative imagery techniques. However, this is not a certification program. Formal certification in Integrative or Interactive Imagery techniques is an extensive process offered by other organizations. If you are interested in pursuing certification, please research more on your own.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the Integrative Imagery for Coaches course, learners will be able to:
- Describe why psychoneuroimmunology is the scientific basis for Integrative Imagery.
- Describe the characteristics of imagery, guided imagery, and Integrative Imagery.
- Observe a demonstration of 5 Integrative Imagery techniques: Special Place, Inner Wisdom, Inner Strengths, Parts Work, and Moving Imagery into Action.
- Identify the applications for the 5 distinct imagery techniques in this course.
- Experience the imagery process on a personal level in order to deepen the understanding of this work.
- Define the Format of an Integrative Imagery session: Assessment, Intervention (Imagery) and Evaluation.
- Participate as an Imagery Guide, a client and/or an observer in at least 5 imagery sessions.
- Integrate Integrative Imagery into a coaching and/or healthcare practice.
- Apply the concepts and practice of imagery for self-care to facilitate self-healing as well as assist the healing process in others.
The Integrative Imagery for Coaches Course Includes:

About The Instructor
Integrative Imagery for Coaches is taught by Susan Ezra, RN, NC-BC, NBC-HWC, ACC, founder of ImageWell.
Susan Ezra, RN, NC-BC, NBC-HWC, ACC, has dedicated her career to assisting people in accessing their own healing abilities. She completed her formal imagery training with the Academy for Guided Imagery and was on the faculty for several years until she and Terry Reed, RN, PhD, co-founded and directed Beyond Ordinary Nursing and developed a Certificate Program in Integrative Imagery for healthcare professionals. From 1996 to 2009, she and Terry trained over 378 healthcare practitioners in the clinical applications of therapeutic guided imagery. They also co-authored Guided Imagery and Beyond; Stories of Healing and Transformation, an anthology of stories from our students and clients illustrating the transformative power of this medium.

NBHWC CE Attendance Policy
This course is approved for 14 CE credits by NBHWC.
Please note in order to receive CE credit, completion of the required reading and attendance and participation in 7 out of 8 live sessions is mandatory.
To uphold the integrity and confidentiality of the group, these sessions will not be recorded and no make-up sessions will be given. If a participant joins a session more than 15 minutes late, it will count as a missed session and will not count toward CE credit.
Per NBHWC CE policy, no partial NBHWC CE credit will be given.

Week 1: Holistic Foundations of Integrative Imagery

CE Course Completion Requirements
To obtain a certification of completion, participants must fulfill the following course requirements:

NBHWC CE Attendance Policy

This course is approved for 17 CE credits by ICF, which includes 12 CE credits in Core Competencies and 5 CE credits in Resource Development.

Participants are responsible for upholding the integrity and confidentiality of the group and actively participating in each live session.
Each session will be recorded, however no make-up sessions will be given. If a participant joins a session more than 15 minutes late, it will count as a missed session and will not count toward CE credit.
Per CE policy, partial CE credit can be given for up to 15 CE credits. In order to receive CE credit, completion of the required reading and attendance and participation in 7 out of 8 live sessions is mandatory.

After each live didactic during weeks 1-5, learners will receive a 5 question quiz testing their assessment of knowledge learned. Participants must successfully complete these 5 quizzes by achieving no less than 80% correct.

Completion of a self-assessment and feedback form upon completion of the program.
